After nearly a six month pause, Yulia Shipova decided to continue in the photo-documentation of her creative and diverse life. As a designer, her life is widely interesting and it is evident from her sets. Each of her weeks includes a series of creative detail shots and she keeps to this tradition in her newest week, to which Yulia gave an apt name, '2'. It does not however indicate that it is her 2nd week overall, but it is the 2nd week in a row after her long break. Will this number keep rising? Well, many of the Week of Life members certainly hope so. Let today's selection be the right motivation for this number to rise even further.

summer is coming
She used to live in Slovakia, but left for the United States, specifically the state of Montana, to work as a cook. Veronika Kovacova has already settled in on the other side of the Atlantic and we are able to see how she lives there in one of her weeks called Summer is coming. Images from the kitchen or the restaurant are exciting, but it is when Veronika takes the camera outside we really see something extraordinary. It seems she lives in a land where most landscape photographers would be out of their mind, since it offers beautiful scenery full of frosty mountains or wild rivers. A little bit of rough editing to it and we have interesting weeks which will hopefully keep coming in the upcoming days to satisfy the curiosity of people at Week of Life, as well as all its members.

Víceméně běžný a téměř celý kinofilmový
His contributions to the Week of Life project are rare; nevertheless, his weeks are always of the highest quality. David Papanek has named his latest week 'More or less ordinary and almost entirely on cine film'. As the name suggests, the photos have been captured on classic cine film. In the current era of large scale data, with the costs of individual photographs being negligible, it's always a pleasant site to see someone return to the classics. Fewer images to choose from, high financial demands and the fact that it is much more time consuming are only a few of the reasons why today, people have almost forgotten about classic film. David has shown that he is one of the few exceptions and presents his week with class, both technically and content-wise abreast.

týden trojPinkový
With his 30 weeks, Petr Pink has become one of the faithful members of the Week of Life project. This week does not stand out from his previous work in the way that he somehow changed his artistic or documentary style. It is interesting for a whole different reason. He managed to persuade two family members to document their life in the same time period. We have seen similar attempts in the past from couples or siblings. Many of us have also tried to persuade friends or colleagues to document their life and it wasn't always easy, since finishing the first week is quite a difficult challenge. And that is why today's selection must go to Petr, as well as Kristyna and Vladimir, for enriching the project with three different points of view documenting life in the Pink family.

He has photographed over 40 weeks, recently graduated high school, but most of all, he matured in terms of photography being involved in the Week of Life project. Any idea who we're talking about? Yes, it's Vaclav Pavliček! He has presented himself with carefully processed pictures, where shifting in colors give the week a unique atmosphere. This has been the label for his recent weeks, including the last one called Falling asleep. His photographs lacking people are typical for his sets and play a dominant role. Nevertheless, they tell us a lot about his life and must have caught the eye of many. We once again congratulate Vaclav for his successful high schoul graduation and hope that he will keep supplying us with his interesting weeks!
