Mobilní BW týden
Zaneta Mala entered the project more than a year ago in such a striking way that most of the members must remember her first week. She documented the last days of her pregnancy and the birth itself. She keeps submitting weeks occasionally and today, she presents herself with her fifth week, named BW week on a cell phone. This week is completely different from her previous weeks and not just because it is in black and white and uses the square format. It’s obvious that Zaneta enjoys using her phone as a camera and as a result, we can all take a look at this interesting set of photos from the life of a mother on maternal leave.

Several weeks ago, Europe was under the spell of heavy frosts. We registered record cold temperatures and it was hard to even get out of bed. In these times, we like to think and dream about the sun and warm weather during the summer season. Viktor Sulc proved to us that he’s no dreamer and spent the beginning of the year in an exotic destination. He traveled to Brazil, a country of countless photographic possibilities, which he shows in his week named A thousand miles in my legs. This week is a nice fit to his set of weeks filled with images from ordinary life.

2012-04
For most of you, Jiri Urban is a new member in the Week of Life project. That is only half true however. Jiri has already submitted his fourth week. His previous three weeks were from the United States, where he was employed in 2010. Nearly two years later, he came with a new week and this time, it was from the city of Pardubice in the Czech Republic, known for its chemical industry. This week reminds us of our student years, probably the only time when we had the chance to step into a chemical lab. However, Jiri experiences that on a daily basis and shows us how specific his profession is, along with other images capturing his free time and family matters to unite into an exciting week.

It has been mentioned before on several occasions that every individual has their own angle on life in this world. This applies to all members who’ve decided to share their lives with the world. Each new member who joins the cause of the Week of Life project enriches an already wide library of specific perspectives on life. And Martina Berini is one of these new members who caught our attention immediately with her first week. This week named Casual and nice... is very well done and shows that the author has the ability to sense even the most ordinary things around her and create an interesting set of photos for the rest of us to see and admire.

New Week
Israel is a nation which attracts tourists with its historical sites and religion. This is what ends up on the final images when we visit this country as visitors. Here at WoL, we have seen several sets that portray this touristic perspective, but how does Israel look from the angle of a native citizen? That is something a tourist will not be able to document in just seven days. However, today, we have the chance to see the first week coming from this nation. With his week called New Week, Diago Mesia has widened our list of participating nations to 43. Diago has shown us that life in Israel is not only about religion, but also about common folk and ordinary life, still a little secretive to a weekend tourist, making this week even more interesting.
