We would like to draw your attention to Jiří Pergl’s week of life. Particularly because the features section now includes a report from his visit to Kenya, where his foundation helps children in orphanages, whose parents in most cases died of AIDS. His report capturing the surrounding wildlife is just as impressive.

This isn’t the first time we have seen the birth of a baby in the Week of Life project. Several times have we all seen this phenomenon on the photos of our members, yet each time it is different and extraordinary. And what more could we wish than a new member entering the project with such a wonderful set, filled with this emotional topic? That is a an entrance worthy of the Editor’s Choice. The man who documented another child birth is Petr Vodicka, who found out about the project just days before the birth of his daughter, Julinka. This was a decision that Petr will never regret in his life.

There is something strangely magical about Stanko Abadzic’s set, something that attracts us, making us constantly wonder about his photographs and search for the undiscovered. Could it be his playful use of shadows? Or his ability to creatively express beauty? It’s difficult to say but that notwithstanding, Stanko Abadzic serves us his life with devilish ease, as if life with a touch of art was commonplace.
