1.Funky signs in Milanese metro (@Porta Garibaldi). 2. Convento S.Antonio Frati Minori (Via Carlo Farini, 10) in the midday sun. 3. Cimitero Monumentale is a curious mix of art nouveau sculptures, Greek temples & elaborate obelisks of all shapes & forms 4. e.g. kissing angels … 5. Famiglia Antonio Bernocchi by architect Alessandro Minali, sculptor Giannino Castiglioni. 6. Contemplating some of the modest resting places in Rialzato Ponente before rushing off to the airport. 7. A different kind of contemplation: the ceiling at Milano Malpensa. 8. Leaving Milano. 9. Stormy weather in Vienna caused delays & the connecting flight to Amsterdam didn't wait, so at the service desk I received an “emergency overnight kit”, a voucher for hotel/dinner/breakfast & a new boarding pass for the earliest morning flight. Going to work straight from the airport (& having to change into my St. Patrick’s day outfit in one of the airport public bathrooms) was a fun ending to a great holiday week ;-)
