The surroundings we live in play a vital role in our lives and help to create our identity. That could be one of the reasons why Mr. Jan H decided to capture the atmoshpere of Ostrava in his week, the city he wakes up in and says goodnite. He has showed it to us in the way most of us can imagine. Dark, full of smoke, with a polluted environment due to high concentration of heavy industry. Despite a little depressing touch, it has been a great place of interest for many Czech artists and athletes for quite some time now.

A Romanian photographer, who has uploaded an ordinary week of life so creative that many of us can only dream about it. He works with beauty, creates beauty and enjoys himself at the same time. Nevertheless, his week does not lack the mundane, a window into his everyday life and everyday duties.

If one doesn’t have a cell phone in today’s world, it’s as if one does not live. And in the case of our teenagers, this is twice as true. Young Annie Drbohlavová used it to photograph most of her nicely crazy and playful week; she has invited us into the world of a younger generation that slowly sprouts fresh and inventive sets. One must respect the lower quality of the photographs, as the life they document is much more important. We hope that in the future, cell phones will be useful aids in cases where it’s not possible to photograph using a normal camera.
