Life on Earth through the eyes of its inhabitans

Editor`s Choice

my view...
Black and white was the right choice! And one of many good decisions in yet another newcomer's set. He goes under the nickname Kajbin and his entry to the Week of Life project has once again stirred up a conversation about the fact that each person's view on his or her life is unique and extraordinary and that we can look forward to every incoming week. In his first set called my view, the author has shown us many great photograps with perfect black and white toning. Let this well deserved selection be an invitation to Kajbin to shower us with many more weeks in the future!

Toz nejak zkusime zacit
A newcomer has once again been selected for the Editor's Choice. This time it is Petr Chocholac, a programmer living in Ireland. He is already a second Czech native who decided to document his life while living 2000 km away from home. Many of the photographs cannot be labeled or placed to a specific land or country, but there are some images that represent traditional Irish beer, typical architecture, steering wheel on the right and many other things characteristic of Ireland. Hopefully, we'll get to see many more weeks from Petr and that he'll spread the Week of Life idea around his second home.

ano ano
Yes, yes is the name of the week presented by photographer Zuzana Bobovnikova. This week has it all - moments from family life, the career of a photographer, details of the things that surround us every day, and many other images that put together a great set well worth seeing. All of you that have been around the project for some time must surely know the author of this week. And for those of you that are new to Week of Life, this is an invitation to not only look at her newest set, but to browse through her wonderful collection altogether, because it is definitely worth it.

46. můj první týden na WOL
Recently, weeks chosen for the Editor’s Choice always presented something original. The last weeks were mostly in the name of color. Today, this series is interrupted by a black and white week from photographer Marek Tihelka. His premier week in the project named ’46. My first week on WoL’ is assembled from many different images with perfectly balanced black and white toning. Even though individual days lack descriptions, it is clearly evident what the author has been through and what he experienced during the week. So, his selected profession as a photographer is legitimate and we can look forward to his upcoming weeks.

Obrazový zápisník typického českého lapiducha.
Jiri Bilek, a newcomer to the project, entered a week with a very catchy name, promising an interesting experience for all of us. A visual diary of a typical Czech paramedic is how he decided to name his week and amazed us far beyond our expectations. Jiri works as a paramedic so most of the images were taken at a hospital. However, he showed us a lot more than that - his attention to detail, his humorous side which he managed to transfer into his photographs and lastly, a little bit of that titillating atmosphere. It's simply a week you come back to once or twice in the near future.
