Jirka Skaloud likes to experiment in his weeks and during his last vacation, he enjoyed his free time with a pinhole camera. He already showed us what he enjoys in the previous week named 63 – Holiday pinhole fun. In the following week, labeled only with the number 64, Jirka continues to document the first day in the oldest photographic technology available, while the rest of the week is captured with modern technology, used by the vast majority of members. As a result, we have a very appealing contrast of technologies and how one can document life.

Black and white photography has its stable fan base and even in a season full of tempting colors, such fans continue in processing their weeks in monochromatic fashion. More so in documentary photography, specifically in the third of week of member Ondrej Valik, who named it Summer BW. Everyone who has seen this week must confirm that color is not at all needed and that Ondrej skillfully captured his family and the calm summer atmosphere. In the comments below the week, Ondrej admitted that he will not be returning with a week anytime soon due to lack of will. Hopefully, he will reconsider, as it would be a shame not to see the elusive moments of life through his perspective.

Lubomir Losonsky is an experienced author in the Week of Life project. This time, you can go through his 34th week called All about water and the visit from Spis. It has been a trend over in the project that after documenting life over a long period of time, your weeks get better and better. You look for new perspectives of the ordinary things in life and try to be original, though it becomes harder over time. Lubomir is one of the members who fits this description entirely and for us it’s a pleasure to see such development and award the Editor’s Choice as a result.

David Selicha is known among the Week of Life members for his unusual profession. As the only representative of this profession, he introduced us to the life of a sailor in several very interesting weeks. This time however, he left the dock and right from the start of the week he boarded a plane and departed in a non-typical direction. As opposed to most other travelers, he did not travel south to the seaside, but north to visit the Arctic Circle. Based on the photographs he took, it must have been an interesting trip and an extraordinary experience. Thanks to David, we had a unique chance to see the world as he sees it.
