Lost in stereotype
On several occasions, we were able to see that the youth perceives the world differently than adults. Many of you enjoy these student weeks, since they make you reminisce about the good old days when you spent most of your time dealing with the joys and sorrows of life in school. Lucie Zelena is another student who let's us take a peek at her everyday life in her set called Lost in stereotype. Her first week is exteremly rich in content showing us all sorts of different angles on student life. And on top of it all, she managed to make the week even more exciting with the combination of color toning with images purely in black and white.

Not even 10 years have passed from time when classical film material ruled the world of photography. No matter if it was color or black and white roll of film, you would get a maximum of 36 images and when the photographer used them all up, he had to listen to the film rewind or was even forced to rewind the film himself in order to put another film into the camera. Let's be honest - who from the Week of Life members ever documented their life on original celluloid film? We are pretty sure that most of you never had to deal with the '36' limit. Jan Skalican is a young student, who instead of letting technology take care of his photography, he decided to photograph on black and white film. And bravo, what a week it is. Perhaps some of you will be inspired by Jan and will try what he did with excellence. Good luck to all of you!

trip to Korea 1/2
Every one of us lives our own 'normal' life up until the time when something unexpected comes and changes everything. It is often a trip to abroad, business or private, that adds a little spice to the routine. We know everything at home, so when we get on that plane and end up on the other side of the world, we gladly accept the change. One of those who recently experienced such a traveler's shock is Jan Belej, who left the Czech Republic for a business trip to South Korea, a remote and extremely fascinating country. The week includes typical and familiar moments from Jan's life as well as preparations and the trip itself. As the name of the week suggests, there will be a sequel to this Korean week so we are eagerly anticipating what Jan will bring us next.

Every week is filled with color. Sometimes it seems overly grey, other times it is filled with all sorts of random colors. If we were to look back and analyze the submitted weeks to Week of Life, we would see that colorful weeks would dominate the statistics. However, black and white photography is a handful tool for documentary work. It filters out the unnecessary colored information and lets the observer focus on the content captured by the author. And this is the way David Sykora decided to capture his first week of life in this project. He named it 'Simply my week' and has shown quality and creative work, which has attracted not only us, but also the other users based on all the given comments.
