The idea behind the Week of Life project is for people to document thein everyday lives and try to show others how they live through a series of photos. However, a large number of people also use the project to show thein holidays or random travels. Usually, these weeks differ from the ones that capture ordinary life and often have a lot more to show. And at times, they are even better in quality. The reason behind this is the fact that people find themselves in a new environment, an interesting location and with the intention to make as many pictures as possible. It is always an interesting comparison when a user shows us a week from home and a week from his or her travels. The same applies to today's Editor's Choice, which goes to Lukáš Veselý and his week, as the name suggests, spent on a journey around England. In a single week, he managed to document the atmosphere of London, Oxford, the coast of Wales and other attractive locations Great Britain has to offer.

Pryč ze stereotypu
Many of us enjoy the classic black and white photography and the Week of Life project perfectly demonstrates this endearment. However, the summer is around the corner and colors have taken the predominant role of the environment around us, so it would be a pity not to use them to our advantage. Martin Indruch is one of those who chose to make us of these surroundings. His 8th week overall named Away from stereotypes is overflowing with colors and next to images of people and several self-portraits, he has shown us details from life around him. Some of these detailed images clearly indicate what has been captured, others make us think what the person behind the camera actually meant to photograph. Good luck to Martin in his future endeavors and we hope that today's selection will push him towards documenting new exciting weeks such as this one.

banality reality
May, the time of love. This well known characteristic of the month of May fits perfectly to the week of Zuzana Bobovnikova, named 'banalities, realities'. You can almost feel the smell of the spring atmosphere flowing from the week full of sunlight, fading dandelions and spring thunderstorms. Zuzana focused on her family and friends in her week and with her delicate eye and ability to document emotions, she was able to capture laughter, happiness, love, passion, but also children's crying. Let's all hope that Zuzana will present her weeks on Week of Life in a more frequent manner, since her weeks are really breathtaking and worth looking at, including today's Editor's Choice.

Late winter & my friends
According to the calendar, spring begins on the 21st of March. Now, it is at its peak. Cherries and strawberries are nice and red and the swimming pools are welcoming their first guests. Does anyone even remember how the weather was two months ago? Some people were still skiing, but the thermometer was already showing spring temperatures. For people living in Prague and other central European cities, the beginning of spring means pleasant temperatures and quite a lot of sun. Elsewhere, for example in Russia, this time of the year is still packed with snow and winter temperatures. Student Ania Lipman has caught this kind of winter atmosphere in her week called Late winter & my friends. Apart from this winter theme, the week mainly consists of Anya’s studies. In any case, is the snow already gone by now? Perhaps the author of today’s selection could give us the answer in her next up-to-date week.

Obyčajný týždeň? Nie - prvý pre WOL! :)
Every new member that joins the ever evolving Week of Life photographic library is more than welcome at the Editor's office. Recently, the project has reached two milestones - 2000 weeks and 3000 members. Mikulas Štec, photographer from Košice, Slovakia, is one of the new members that helped the project reach its milestones. He named his first week in quite an original fashion "An ordinary week? No - the first one for WoL! The name itself suggests he meant to enter the project in an extraordinary manner. And in a way, he succeeded and introduced his life and surroundings full of people in form of 63 black and white photographs. As a result, he left us with no choice other than to make his set today's selection.
