This is not the first Editor’s Choice for Dagmar Luhringova. She is a regular in the project even though she submits weeks with breaks in-between. Her weeks are however great on the technical level as well as in content. Her latest week named Thailand – February 2012 reveals that she traveled far from home to a popular destination to create this set. Thailand is a favorite with the tourists and rightfully so looking at Dagmar’s photos. The week is overflowing with wonderful images and is by all means the perfect choice for today, allowing us to feast our eyes on the exotic beauties of this country.

The latest Editor’s Choice belongs to a newcomer with photography as an integral part in his life and not only career-wise. It’s usually hard for a photographer to start documenting life since photography plays a role in their everyday lives already and now they have to stick with in their free time. It makes this week and the weeks of other professional photographers ever more valuable. Petr Vokurek has granted us a look into his life in through the means of his week called Artie’s birthday and entered the project in an important period to him and his family. The birthday celebration of little Artie is certainly a great way to enter WoL and we can only hope to see more from this photographer.

Vaclav Pavlicek is one of the most active members in the Week of Life project and has a full year on his account. Even after finishing a whole 365 days, he decided to stay active and continue in documenting his life. As a very active member, he attended the first official meeting of Week of Life members and captured this event in his week named Regards at the meeting! Vaclav has gone a long way from his first submitted weeks and not only in the matter of photography. His new weeks are simply a must for most of us.

Zaneta Mala entered the project more than a year ago in such a striking way that most of the members must remember her first week. She documented the last days of her pregnancy and the birth itself. She keeps submitting weeks occasionally and today, she presents herself with her fifth week, named BW week on a cell phone. This week is completely different from her previous weeks and not just because it is in black and white and uses the square format. It’s obvious that Zaneta enjoys using her phone as a camera and as a result, we can all take a look at this interesting set of photos from the life of a mother on maternal leave.

Several weeks ago, Europe was under the spell of heavy frosts. We registered record cold temperatures and it was hard to even get out of bed. In these times, we like to think and dream about the sun and warm weather during the summer season. Viktor Sulc proved to us that he’s no dreamer and spent the beginning of the year in an exotic destination. He traveled to Brazil, a country of countless photographic possibilities, which he shows in his week named A thousand miles in my legs. This week is a nice fit to his set of weeks filled with images from ordinary life.
