Petr Pink is a familiar face to most of the Week of Life members. He has been active for over two years now, and the amount of weeks he has photographed has passed the number 60. The trend is still the same – the more we photograph, the better we get. In his current week named “Mine!”, Petr has displayed his creativity with color, adding another positive aspect to his set, next to the rich content. Just like many of you, Petr actively participated in the “Země česká, domov Tvůj!“ film project (directed by Adolf Zika, founder of WoL) and therefore documented his life in two different ways, shown in the photograph representing this Editor’s Choice selection.

Recently, a female member with the name Dareen joined the Week of Life project. Besides the fact that she lives in Brno, Czech Republic, and states freelance artist as her profession, we don’t know much about her. Who she really is and how she lives is gradually uncovered in her photos as well as in the descriptions beneath. The week called Second – Germs and a wedding, has uncovered another piece in the mystery behind this member and showed us how the author perceives her surroundings. We must say that it is certainly interesting. We already know that she loves skirts, music or photography and can’t wait till her next week, which will hopefully disclose even more.

He’s a new Week of Life member yet we all know him quite well. What a frequent scenario. When you are in the presence of an active WoL member, the activity becomes contagious after a while. The ‘infected’ person is no other than Petr Vojtech, whom we all know from the weeks of Kata Koci, a well-known face among the Week of Life members. His week named Uncontrollable raid of the vengeful socks is another one in the series of couples documenting lives from different angles. His entrée was more than successful and he even added several photos from his active participation in the Czech film project Zeme Ceska, domov Tvuj! (directed by the founder of WoL)

At this stage of the Week of Life project, we can easily say that if you join the project and remain active, your photography skills will increase. Many of you, WoL users, are perfect examples, including Lubomir Losonsky from Slovakia. Take a look at his beginnings and then check out his latest week named 20th week – Always ready. The difference is striking! Lubomir as well as the rest of you are making us, other members and everyone else connected with the project proud.

Since joining the Week of Life project a year and a half ago, Petra Sochmanova has submitted 7 weeks. Today, there are many members, who have surpassed this number in their accounts, however, with Petra, we can be sure that every new week will be of great quality. Her weeks are mainly black and white, a specialty she is good at. This applies to her newest set as well called May and once again, we can see great composition, precise work with lights and a good eye for capturing the right moment. The latter is an important attribute, especially since most of the pictures involve little children, who at times can be extremely restless. Petra received appraisal once again and this lively week has been selected for the Editor’s Choice. Let us hope week number 8 comes sooner rather than later.
