Everyone at the editor's office at Week of Life should be sending a thank you letter to the person who came up with the idea to include a camera as part of a cell phone. It works as a great instrument for taking pictures without being noticed. Despite the series of defects and lack of quality in the beginnings, today, these miniature cameras have become a part of our everyday lives and a charming feature of today's cell phones. It's not all about technology though, since the person using the camera is also a vital element in the equation to obtain a quality picture. It seems that Kristýna Fischlová has mastered her cell phone camera well enough and served us with a fascinating b&w week. If the name of the week hadn't revealed the fact she used a camera on her cell phone, most of us would still believe she had to use a normal camera to capture such wonderful images.

14.) Všetci sú pokakaní z hokeja
Ice Hockey has consumed Slovakia. The World Championship has taken over the country and no one has been discussing anything else for the past couple of weeks. Every day the media is filled with ice hockey-themed information, photographs, interviews and video sequences. So, how does a random citizen view such a huge event? A question usually unanswered by the media. We were however lucky to have this kind of angle from one of our well known members Jan Skaličan, a Slovakian citizen. The slightly ironic name of Jan’s week speaks for itself and captures the atmosphere throughout the entire country from the beginning of the Championship. His week is named ‘Everyone’s gone hockey crazy’.

Tulipán a tulipaní
Mr. and Mrs. Tulip is the name of today's selection for the Editor's Choice, submitted to us by teacher Magdalena K. Tulips are beautiful flowers and a symbol of Spring and in this case, they were also the inspiration to Magdalena's 5th set. The flowers blossomed throughout the entire week and together with the creative details and moments depicting everyday life make a set you definitely want to see. This week is however not solely about photographs - we also recommend Magdalena's comments to individual days, a little cherry on the top for you.

týden kdy byly i velikonoce
Petr Pink is one of the faithful members of the Week of Life project. The number of weeks he has documented is nearing the number thirty and in his latest set, he abandoned his classical style full of color to experiment with the black and white combination. Change is always welcome and together with the Easter atmosphere, he created a very innovative week. Each day included a different mix of color and black & white photos and this little experiment granted Petr the chance to become today's selection for the Editor's Choice. Congratulations.

Týden tabla a tepla
The spring is finally here, the number of warm days is increasing and the sun is in the sky for everyone to enjoy. However, students of the graduating class are rather focusing on their forthcoming 'D-day'. Apart from studying and last minute preparations, this time of the school year involves another important aspect -graduation photos. Students put a lot of energy into it and try to think of ways how to be original. Yveta Klusoňová portrays all of this in her set named 'The week of warmth and graduation photos'. The color toning stays true to the name of the week and depicts a truly warm atmosphere. And for those who have long concluded their student years, Yveta's photos give them the reason to reminisce about the pleasant memories from the good old student days. We wish Yveta the best of luck and will look forward to that set of photos capturing her first steps into adulthood.
